What is Sketchnoting & Bullet Journaling?
Verbal to VisualSketchnoting is a form of note taking that allows students to take information from verbal to visual. Simply put, sketchnoting is using mnemonics to connect images with information in order to increase one's ability to remember what is learned. In GT this year, I plan to use this technique as a tool to help students with organization through reflection, connection, and memorization. Bullet journaling is also a technique we will use to assist with creativity as we tackle our affective (emotional) needs in GT. Sketchnoting is all about getting information down effectively--not art! You may see your GT students begin to use this skill at school and at home. My hope is that this can be a transferable skill that will benefit them in all learning settings.
